Each night promises a nonstop exploration of the best ska, rocksteady, reggae and dub in the world today, kicking off from the minute doors open with the superb Mungos Hi Fi (before, during and after each live act), followed by an unbeatable live bill. { 03/09/08 } Re: Pietasters/Street Dogs/Mighty Mighty Bosstones - LA - The Avalon - 3/1/8

Dear Friends,

Thanks to all that came out to the show in Los Angeles last weekend. It has been an honor to play with The Mighty Mighty Bosstones on both coasts in support of the end of their hiatus.

To everyone who came to the show but missed our set we are very sorry. Believe us when we say that we had no intention of traveling across country only to play before the show time listed on the ticket. Apparently there was a problem with the curfew and a late night disco that was booked into the Avalon on March 1, 2008. Upon our arrival and check in with the local LiveNation/Avalon production manager we were informed of the schedule which was contrary to the show time listed on the ticket. At that time we had two choices; 1. Play the show and hope that people wishing to see the Pietasters would arrive early enough or 2. Not play the show (seriously, you were all there to see MMB anyway!).

We chose to play the west coast installment of the Mighty Mighty Bosstones end-of-hiatus show and be a part of this historic event. Again, we apologize to anyone who was disappointed to miss our set. Unfortunately the situation was out of our hands. We have received many notes expressing frustration with this situation. Some of these notes had included a response from LiveNation in LA placing the blame on our management/booking agent. In no way were we informed of the time change until 6PM the night of the show. In no way did we want to play before the listed show time on the ticket. We appreciate your enthusiasm and look forward to returning to LA (and California in general) very soon.

If you tried to make our set at the Avalon but missed us due to this debacle please keep your ticket stub. We will work out a way to honor the stub as admission to our next LA show. Stay tuned to MySpace and www.thepietasters.com for information.

{ 08/22/07 } All Day Out Now!

After five long years, the wait is finally over for the new Pietasters record. ALL DAY is now out on Indication Records / Redeye USA. Head down to your favorite record store (if your favorite record store still exists) and pick up a copy. We swear you'll like it.

Thanks to everybody that's preordered the album and came out to the last few shows to pick up a copy.

We'll be doing a bunch of shows over the next couple weeks including a couple big festivals in Knoxville and Las Vegas.

Also, we'll be performing a few songs and doing an interview on the public radio network PRI today. The show is called Fair Game with Faith Salie, and it runs at different times on different stations depending on where you live. Check it out here:
